Development of a Python program for investigation of epidemic developement

Introduction

This model introduces five possibile states. These are susceptible, recovered, infected, vaccinated and deceased. This adds the possibility of vaccinatons and death to the simulation and extends the SIR model which was described by Zaman and Jung in “ Stability techniques in SIR epidemic models“. It is a part of the compartmental models in epidemiology.

This Project uses a basic SIR (susceptible, infected, recovered) model to describe epidemics and extends this model to be able to describe systems with vaccinations and possibily death. It aims to solve the equations necessary and apply them to a two-dimensional cellular automaton.
